Around 4 years ago, give or take, I watched a house being built down the street from us – I loved the style and was very impressed by the clean, succinct process of the build. The builders were, you guessed it, Ryan Designer Homes…I checked out their Website, liked what I saw and kept them on my desk top because my dream was to one day build a home and live in a space designed for us. Time passed and to cut a long story short, my dream came true…

We purchased an interesting funnel shaped block of land on a canal which lent itself to the type of design I wanted. Straight to Ryan’s we went with my concepts, our mud map and much excitement on my behalf, if not my husbands, he was going along with this so I could live my dream. We were introduced to Trevor of Reitsma Design who did a fabulous job of turning my mud map into a lovely, just what I wanted, architectural design …a few changes later and we were ready for the next step. I had such faith in Petrina and Pat I did not even consider looking at, or talking to, another builder and we certainly made the right decision. What a team they have built…

Ken, our Site Manager, was fantastic…if an issue arose (and of course there were issues) he was on to it! I wanted to be in before Christmas and the Ryan Team made it happen. Bob and I wish to thank you and your crew for building our beautiful home at 37 Lakeside Drive Peregian Springs. We’ve only been in the home for 5 weeks and although it is an investment property for us, we have become very attached to the home and absolutely enjoy being in it. We spent the best part of 12-months looking at properties on the market and could not find anything that met our requirements in the price range. By getting rid of the old house and building on a block that suited us we were able to: 1. Identify all the features we needed to suit our lifestyle 2. Tailor our design to the block, the weather, our lifestyle and our configuration requirements 3. Achieve privacy, street appeal, and exceptional outdoor living that we doubted was possible. The designer (Michael) used by Ryan’s did an amazing job with our wish list. Whilst his plans and drawings looked great, the end result exceeded our expectations and just looks spectacular. Everything about the house just works and looks great. Like most people our kitchen and living area is the core of our home. We love it, clean lines, understated, and extremely efficient. We upgraded to Meile appliances, and because of the quality of these appliances with the functional design, the kitchen just works beautifully. We love our whole home, as it is all above our expectations, but we particularly love our outdoor entertaining area, deck and pool area, as it gives us relaxed family living with a style we only believed possible in “million dollar houses. Throughout the build the whole neighbourhood was talking about it, numerous tradies told us they loved it (and we believe they were genuine), and now in, our family and friends feel like they are coming to a resort. The great news is we get to live in the resort! We absolutely recommend Ryan Designer Homes! Great people, quality builders, working with exceptional designers and a genuine desire to deliver a quality product. Go through the process with a quality builder (you might be surprised at how affordable it really is) and get what you want. I think we have said it all, but will add a simple: We love our home – thanks Pat, Petrina, Cathy.

After looking at the property market for quite some time without being able to find a company who had our vision, and no plans that caught our eye to achieve a wow factor, we decided to design and build our first property in Australia. This was when Cathy Campbell from Ryan Designer stepped in. She calmly listened to our frustrations, what we had in mind, what we wanted to achieve and then she worked with us to create a working proposal and got the appropriate wheels in motion. Ryan’s architect listened intently to our brief and most importantly delivered plans that met our budget. By going through the design and build process with Ryan’s, we achieved a home designed specifically to our specifications and lifestyle. Ryan’s architect worked with our ideas and translated them into visual concepts and nailed it. Having a project manager allowed the both of us to continue with our everyday lives whilst working full time. Ryan’s kept us informed throughout the project and reminded us when certain decisions had to be made. Everything was so seamless and if there was anything we were unsure of, Ryan’s were always there to clarify and explain.
We love how every corner of this house is linked to its landscape. Large living area, internal courtyard, extensive decks and patios spaces, minimalist walls and the merging of indoor and outdoor living spaces make this house a true entertainer! Everyone that visits us loves the house. Our favourite part is how the wide windows blur the line, making the exterior and interior of the house have no boundaries. And the design allows a flexible combination of shade, privacy, ventilation, views and shelter – this can only be achieved by a professional building team, who can overcome challenges. We would recommend Ryan Designer homes to anyone that is looking to design and build their own home in the Sunshine Coast and we will definitely be using their services for our next build.
